OPERATOR

Who is responsible for this page

This page is published by the operator of the Maple Sparrow Valley website, whose postal address is 3-12-17 Sakaicho, Niihama, Ehime 792-0812, Japan. The operator can be reached at info@maplesparrowvalley.com or on +81 897-26-3430. The operator's legal name and registration details are given on request.

SCOPE

What these conditions cover

These conditions apply to a cleaning visit that you and the operator have agreed in a written quotation. If the quotation says something different from this page, the quotation applies. The rules for using the website itself are in the Terms of Service.

QUOTATION

How a visit is agreed

YOUR PART

Access and conditions on site

You are responsible for confirming that the access conditions you state are accurate and safe: where a ladder can stand, where water can be drawn, how a balcony is entered, and whether pets, plants or furniture need to be moved. Where the building is an apartment block, a shop unit or a leased property, you are also responsible for any permission needed from the building's management, owner or neighbours, including the rules on balcony washing and drainage.

If the conditions on the day are not what was described, for example a taller elevation than stated or no safe footing, the operator may change the method, change the scope, or decline to carry out part or all of the work. Any change of price is agreed with you in writing before work goes ahead.

WORKING AT HEIGHT

What the operator will and will not do

The three offers cover ground-reach and stepladder work, glazing up to three storeys, and balcony and low exterior surfaces. They do not cover higher elevations. The operator will not carry out work that cannot, in the operator's judgement, be done safely, however much has been agreed in advance, and a visit may be stopped for that reason.

WEATHER AND CHANGES

Rescheduling

Heavy rain, strong wind or frost may make a visit unsafe or ineffective. In that case the visit is rescheduled, and the new date is agreed with you. You can also ask to move a visit; please do so as early as you can. How any change or cancellation is charged is stated in the quotation, and it is never more than the law allows.

AFTER THE VISIT

Finish and notes

At the end of the visit you are asked to look over the work. If an area looks missed, say so then, and what can be done on the day is agreed on the spot. After the visit a short written note records what was done and any surface showing wear. Cleaning can reveal existing damage to glass, frames, seals or surfaces; the note records it, but the cleaning did not cause it.

RESULTS

What cannot be promised

The visible result and how long it lasts depend on the condition of the surface, the weather and how exposed the building is. Specific results or intervals cannot be promised.

LIABILITY

Responsibility on both sides

The operator carries out the work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and rights you have under the Consumer Contract Act. Neither side is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as severe weather.

The operator has not published details of any insurance on this site. If insurance cover matters to you for a particular job, ask for it in writing before you accept the quotation.

LAW AND CHANGES

Governing law

These conditions are governed by the laws of Japan, and disputes are handled by the courts that have jurisdiction under Japanese law. If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. The conditions may be updated, and the date at the top shows the latest version; the version that applies to a visit is the one in force when you accepted the quotation.
