OPERATOR

Who is responsible for this page

This page is published by the operator of the Maple Sparrow Valley website, whose postal address is 3-12-17 Sakaicho, Niihama, Ehime 792-0812, Japan. The operator can be reached at info@maplesparrowvalley.com or on +81 897-26-3430. The operator's legal name and registration details are given on request.

IN SHORT

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies. It does not use your browser's local storage or session storage either, and it does not run analytics or advertising tags. There is therefore no cookie banner and nothing for you to switch on or off here.

If you came here from an advertisement or a search result, nothing on this site reads or stores a record of that. Whatever the search engine or the advertising platform recorded before you arrived is governed by that company's own policies, not by this page.

WHAT THE BROWSER DOES ANYWAY

Ordinary caching and server logs

Your browser may keep copies of pages and pictures so that they load faster next time. That is a normal browser function, not a tracking tool, and you can clear it in your browser's settings at any time.

The company that hosts the site will normally keep a short server log of requests, with the time, the requested page, your IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting. The Privacy Policy describes how that and other information is handled.

THE ENQUIRY FORM

What happens to what you type

The enquiry form on the home page and the contact page is an ordinary form. Nothing you type in it is saved in your browser before you send it, and the page does not use cookies to remember you afterwards. If you would rather not use the form, you can write to the email address or call the number on the contact page.

If you open the site in a private window, or clear your browser's data, nothing about how the site looks or works changes, because the site keeps no state of its own.

THE MENU

The mobile navigation button

The small button that opens the menu on a phone only shows and hides the list of links on the page you are looking at. It stores nothing and sends nothing.

TOOLS ON THE SITE

What the site does load

Each page loads one script, a styling library that is stored on this site itself (common/assets/js/tailwind.js), and a small inline script for the mobile menu. Neither contacts another server, and neither records who you are or what you do.

The pictures are served from this site as well. The site's icon is a small file in the same folder. Because nothing is loaded from other companies' servers, no other company learns that you visited, which is also why no consent banner is shown.

JAPANESE LAW

Why no consent is asked for

Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, information that is sent to another company's server, for example through an advertising or analytics cookie, may need the visitor's agreement when that company can tie it to a person. Because this site sends no browsing information to any other company, that question does not arise, and there is nothing to agree to. The only personal information the operator receives is what you choose to send yourself, which the Privacy Policy covers.

IF THIS CHANGES

Before anything is added

If the operator later adds an analytics tool, an advertising tag, an embedded map or anything else that uses cookies or similar storage, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated first, and a way to accept or refuse will be provided before the tool is switched on.
