OPERATOR

Who is responsible for this page

This page is published by the operator of the Maple Sparrow Valley website, whose postal address is 3-12-17 Sakaicho, Niihama, Ehime 792-0812, Japan. The operator can be reached at info@maplesparrowvalley.com or on +81 897-26-3430. The operator's legal name and registration details are given on request.

SCOPE

What this policy covers

This policy explains how personal information is handled when you look at this website, send an enquiry about a window, glazing or balcony cleaning visit, or write to or call the operator. It is written with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) in mind.

The site is small. It has no accounts, no shop, no newsletter and no comment area, so the amount of personal information involved is also small.

WHAT IS COLLECTED

The information the operator receives

Information you send yourself: your name, your email address, and whatever you write about the building, such as its approximate height, its size, the part of Niihama or Ehime where it stands, and any access notes. If you telephone, the operator may note your name, phone number and the details of the building you describe.

Information needed to carry out a visit: once you agree to a quotation, the address of the property to be cleaned, a contact number for the day, and any arrangements for access, for example a key, a water supply or building-management permission.

Technical information: when a page is requested, the web server that hosts this site normally records the time, the page, your IP address and your browser type in its access log. The operator has not published which hosting company is used; the details can be asked for through the contact page.

PURPOSES

What the information is used for

Your information is not used for advertising, is not used to build a profile of you, and is not used for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.

THIRD PARTIES

Who else sees it

The operator does not sell personal information and does not provide it to third parties, except where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect someone's life, health or property and your consent cannot reasonably be obtained.

Some work is handed to service providers: the company that hosts the site, and whichever email and phone services the operator uses to read and answer your message. Those providers handle information only for that purpose, and the operator remains responsible for it. This website loads nothing from third-party advertising, analytics or font services; its scripts and images are served from the site itself.

COOKIES AND SIMILAR TOOLS

What your browser stores

The site does not set cookies of its own and does not use your browser's local storage. See the Cookie Policy for the details. Your browser may keep ordinary cached copies of pages and pictures, which you can clear in its settings.

KEEPING IT SAFE

How information is looked after

Messages are read by the operator and are not passed on beyond what is described above. The operator takes reasonable care to prevent loss, leaking or misuse, but no method of sending information over the internet or by email can be made completely safe, so please do not put anything sensitive in an enquiry. A cleaning quotation never needs a bank card number, an ID number or a date of birth, and none will be requested through this site.

HOW LONG

Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to a visit are kept for as long as is reasonably needed to answer them and any follow-up question, and then deleted. Records of a visit that took place are kept for as long as they are useful for aftercare and for dealing with any question about the work, and for as long as the law requires. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time, as described below.

YOUR RIGHTS

Looking at, correcting and stopping the use of your information

Under the APPI you may ask the operator to tell you what personal information it holds about you and to disclose it, to correct information that is wrong, and to delete it or stop using it in the cases the law provides for. To make a request, write to info@maplesparrowvalley.com, call +81 897-26-3430, or use the contact page.

The operator may ask you to confirm who you are before acting on a request, so that information is not given to the wrong person. A request will be answered without unreasonable delay, and where it cannot be met in full, the reason will be explained.

TRANSFER ABROAD

Where information may be stored

The operator does not knowingly send personal information to anyone outside Japan. Because the hosting and email providers have not been published, the country where their servers are located cannot be stated here; if that matters to you, ask before you send anything.

QUESTIONS

Complaints and contact

If you have a question or complaint about how your information is handled, contact the operator at the address, phone number or email shown at the top of this page. You may also take a complaint to the Personal Information Protection Commission (個人情報保護委員会), the authority responsible for the APPI.

This policy may be updated when the site or the way it is run changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
